A puppet to light up your brain

Pareidolia

There is no face here, but your brain will make one for you, that is called “Pareidolia”

This puppet is a demonstration of it’s name

Pareidolia is the tendency to find familiar shapes and patterns in random stimuli, a normal part of human perception that helps us make sense of the world by quickly spotting meaningful information, especially faces.

It is a normal human tendency to see meaning in randomness, often stemming from the brain's innate ability to recognize faces for survival and social reasons. Our brains are hardwired to find order and meaning in the world, and pareidolia is a wonderful demonstration of this.

The brain's visual cortex and other areas become highly active when processing ambiguous images, filling in details to match familiar templates. This puppet will light up your brain! It’s also lights up, so double light whammy! It gives out mints. Get it, enlighten mints!!!!

The puppet

The puppet is all wood, string and googlies. It’s a midrange marionette. Not too heavy, but it’s not the most basic either. Lots of movement. It dances beautifully. The dome is plastic with 5 settings on the fairy lights. The battery pack is hidden behind the cape, so it’s easy to change the batteries. Will post a full description soon. It also has its own wooden crate for display and transportation.
