madam
President
The Idea
She is a true Patriot. War hero, Astronaut, doctor, firelady, but (they always say this) most importantly, a mom (lol).
She is the president for all Americans without being blind to the plight of the world. She does all she can to move the power of helping people to the people. She is a positive image for the children and a role model to all. She is a war hero, so she is not afraid to use the military in defense of America, but does not try to be world police.
When she was elected, X imploded.
Step One: The Doll
We’re starting with a Barbie 28-Inch Tie Dye Style Best Fashion Friend. I found one at the Goodwill bins!
Step two: The clothing
These six outfits are the only thing I can find on the internet for 28” Barbies. So she can either go to a garden party or become a sex worker, I suppose. Sex work is real work and all that, but we need our puppet to look more presidential.
Also we’re not giving our little girls any business suits?
I found Becky Studio out of Hong Kong, which makes custom suits that look really sharp, so I ordered one. Here are the dimensions if you want to make some clothes for Barbie that she can go to our CEO job in.
Started with a podium concept
Step three: The box
This is where we are at.
I spared you the cut-the-doll-apart pictures; they look pretty strange. Basically, you have to take apart the joints and replace them with the eyelets. My nine-year-old son is appalled.
We need the suit before the strings can be added, but will work on the limbs, podium, and lighting concepts while I wait for Becky to do her magic. More soon.
